British Armed Forces Bases to Host Refugee Applicants in Initiative to End Hotel-Based Accommodation
Numerous refugee applicants may be placed in armed forces facilities as the administration aims to end the use of temporary lodging.
Negotiations are underway regarding the use of two sites - a facility in northern Britain and a second in the south of England - for accommodation for 900 men.
The government leader has instructed Domestic Affairs and Ministry of Defence officials to speed up efforts to find appropriate military sites.
The administration has vowed to end the operation of temporary hotel accommodations, which have cost billions in funds and emerged as a central issue for anti-migrant protests.
Under Consideration Defense Sites
Individuals could be accommodated in the Cameron military facility in the Scottish city and Crowborough army training camp in the southern county by the final days of the upcoming month.
Manufacturing locations, interim housing and previously unused facilities are also being considered for future accommodation.
Government Commitments
Authoritative figures confirmed that each location would adhere to wellbeing requirements.
"The government remains furious at the scale of illegal migrants and asylum hotels."
"Our administration will close each temporary accommodation facility. Work are well underway, with better facilities being identified to reduce burden for communities and decrease refugee accommodation expenses."
Current Accommodation Figures
Around thirty-two thousand individuals seeking protection are presently being accommodated in hotels, representing a decrease from a maximum of more than fifty-six thousand in the previous year.
A recent report found that substantial amounts of taxpayers' money had been "wasted" on migrant shelter.
Prior Defense Facility Operation
Two previous defense facilities - the Wethersfield facility in the eastern county and Napier Barracks in the southern county - are currently being utilized to house asylum seekers after being commissioned under the previous leadership.
The administration head stated on the situation, saying: "The government is resolved to shut down each temporary accommodation facility. I can't tell you how troubled and alarmed we are that we inherited a challenge as significant as the current circumstances by the former leadership."
